Prayer40 DAYSOver the past few years, along with many churches in Hull, there has been a particular focus on Prayer during the 40 days period. This year, we are excited with the initiatives that we have developed, and look forward to seeing how they develop.Pass it OnWe have decided, as a church, to fast through the entire 40 days. To make this a community experience, we are going to take a turn each, choosing to give something up on a given day to allow us to spend more time with God. To allow this to be documented, we are passing a journal round each person doing this for them to note down specific prayers, thoughts, images, scriptures, prophetic words or other content that they feel is significant, or that God is speaking to them about. This will hit over 50 people (40 days does not cover weekends) ranging in age from 7 to 70+. We are waiting with expectancy to see what God is saying through his people at Bodmin Road Church.Weekly Prayer Events We are also holding an additional prayer event each week to provide an extra setting to spend time together in prayer. These are announced each week in the Sunday service and will range in times through the day, and in terms of length. Early morning prayer, afternoon reflective prayer, teaching on intercessory prayer and all-night prayer meetings are some of the events that are planned.
