Help & Advice

Carers Service

Our support service for carers and their families has run for the last 10 years. At any one time we are supporting over 30 carers and their families.

Our team provides home visit support so that carers can get out for shopping or for a short break. We deliver over 1000 home visits every year and our community cafe also provides a warm and friendly environment where carers and their families can socialise.

Guidance with benefits and form filling is also available.

If you are a carer and would like to register with us to receive support, or would just like to find out more about how we can help you, then please ring the church office and ask for Tina.

If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer for this service, please contact Tina.  All volunteers will have to complete an Enhanced DBS check, for which we will pay.

Debt Advice

We know what a massive issue debt is, and how hard it is to cope with. No-body wants to live in fear of that knock or that phone call. We can help.

Half the battle is just admitting it when we need some support. Why not get in touch? We have fully trained people here who will then be able to support you all the way out of that debt tunnel. One phone call or email is one massive step towards freedom and financial security.

Don’t put it off any longer. Just give us ring or pop in to our Cafe and ask about our debt support. There is no charge for our service.

The Downright Special Network

Our Pastor and his wife Lisa have a child with Down Syndrome. Along with a group of other parents they established The Downrightspecial Network in 2007. This is now a fully registered independent charity in its own right, providing specialist educational input for families and schools with children who have Down Syndrome.

The Downrightspecial Network has its office space in the church building and also uses our building to deliver educational sessions for small children with Down Syndrome every Friday during term time.

Parenting Support

If you are struggling with some specific issues, or just need a bit of encouragement, why not pop into one of our SoftPlay sessions and speak to one of our staff or volunteers. Just ask for Oluremi or Meg. We are able to visit you at home, arrange a private chat in our building or chat to you over the phone – just contact the office.

Renovate Project

This is our one-to-one support service, where we can provide a support service for individuals in crisis or for those who have specific needs or vulnerabilities. For more information please ring the church office and ask for Tracey
