Current VacanciesCHILDREN'S AND FAMILY WORKERContextBodmin Road Church is situated on a large council estate with a population of over 20,000. The church has been engaged in various social action schemes throughout its history and we currently have 4 other full-time staff and up to 30 volunteers, engaged in various social action ministries. It is expected that our children’s worker will be able to work well with others in a close team context.The Nature of the PostIt must be said that we are not simply looking for someone who can do a job. This post is in church-based Christian ministry, and we therefore have very definite spiritual expectations of the post-holder. In particular we would expect the successful applicant to become part of the church family here at Bodmin Road, to share our evangelical beliefs, and to demonstrate a passion for this community and church and not just for the specific duties of the job description! Regular (allowing naturally for time away) Sunday attendance will be an expectation of the contract, though any hours worked with children on a Sunday would of course be counted towards overall hours.Full time: £16K-£18K depending on experience and qualifications.
