Community Programme

Community Programme

Bodmin Road Church has a long history of community engagement. Over the last 20 years our Community Programme has included an over-50s Lunch Club, Toddler Groups, juniors’ breakfast and after-school clubs, youth club, UK Online Computer Centre, adult numeracy and literacy, and numerous other projects. We have at times employed up to eight full time staff to deliver community programmes of one sort or another. Those mentioned above are just a sample.

Between 1996 and 2006 we ran our Community Programme under a separate charity umbrella called Bransholme Family Focus. All our work now runs back under the single charity banner of Bodmin Road Church.

All our current community projects and services are listed in this section. Our activities and programmes are open to all, regardless of a person’s faith, culture or lifestyle. We are here to serve the whole community. Around 200 people each week are currently accessing activities in our building.

Volunteering

We have a great team of volunteers here. We simply could not do what we do without them. And there is always room for more in our expanding community programme.

If you have an hour or two to spare each week and you would like get in involved, then please get in touch. Give us a ring or, even better, pop in to our Cafe and have a word. Just ask for Tony or Tina. We look forward to meeting you!

Current volunteer opportunities include:

  • Building – Setting up for groups, cleaning, repairs and maintenance
  • Carers Service – Home visits (training provided)
