Carers Service

For the last 5 years we have had a Service Level Agreement with Hull City Council Social Services Department to deliver a local service for Carers. Our Carer Service employs one staff member who in turn co-ordinates a team of volunteers, with a current team of around 15. These volunteers are involved in a wide range of activities, including undertaking home visits, providing respite care, supporting with hospital vists and general house and garden maintenance. We also run special events for carers and for those they care for. In 2010/11 our volunteer team made just short of 1500 home visits. In addition to the service detailed above, we are now able to offer Welfare Rights Advice and support with completing DHSS forms etc. If you would like further information in relation to this service, please contact us on 01482 834417 and ask for Tina.If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer for this service, please contact Tina. All volunteers will have to complete a Enhanced CRB check, for which we will pay.
